In this episode of History & Game - recorded in the middle of the night during a severe cold, I might add - we fragment historical narratives only to reveal their interconnectivity (and importance). The 1960s in America brought about numerous changes: the war in Vietnam, home television, the hippy movement, and the tragic, horrific assassination of an American President. In 1960, the Elephant and the Donkey were locked into campaigning full-time, balancing public opinion, and with the invention of the home television, and suffering widespread denigration solely based on public appearance.

Conspiracy theories are a dime-a-dozen. From JFK to Apollo 11's moon landing to Andy Kaufman, the world is in no short supply of twisted ideas and outrageous theories supported by massive online groups who wholeheartedly believe in them.
In this episode of History & Game, we jump right into the salient points surrounding the greatest conspiracy the world has ever known: The Anti-Stratfordian conspiracy theory. Also, I provide my first review of a neat little solo-only game that utilizes a popular game mechanism in a way I have never (personally) seen before! Give it a listen, and with some luck, I just might leave you with something to think about...

On October 30th, 1938, actor and director Orson Welles broadcasted a radio dramatization of War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells. What followed shows how a little radio prank sent an entire nation into chaos leading to the destruction of property and the loss of lives. War of the Worlds: The New Wave is an asymmetrical two-player game published by Grey Fox Games where players assume the roles of aliens or humanity to either defend the world or dominate it!
